MEET KEV MCCARTHY · HEAD COACH
I'm Kev McCarthy, head coach and owner of ThinkFit. Before opening the studio I spent over a decade in the industry — Head Coach of Personal Training and later Head of Operations at FlyFit, overseeing coaching standards and performance across 20+ gym locations.
Alongside the studio I also work as a personal training tutor, educating and developing new coaches coming into the industry. It keeps the standard high and the methods current.
I've coached complete beginners and seasoned lifters. The approach doesn't change much: structured, progressive training, no gimmicks, no overcomplication. ThinkFit was built to solve a problem I kept seeing — people getting lost in overcrowded gyms with no direction. This is a private coaching environment where clients get real attention, proper structure and long-term support.

The studio is at Unit 20E, Rathfarnham Shopping Centre, Butterfield Avenue, Dublin 14, D14 V674. We're a 5-minute drive from Templeogue, Terenure, Knocklyon and Churchtown, with free parking on-site.
Semi-private is the sweet spot — you train alongside 2–3 other people, but each of you is on your own programme and being coached in real time by Kev or the team. It's not a class. 1-to-1 is the full coach's attention for the full session — best for very specific goals, complex injuries, or anyone who wants to fast-track results.
Yes — beginners are most of our roster. Every programme is built from your starting point, and a coach watches every rep. You won't be left to figure it out. The small-group format is specifically designed so the room never gets intimidating.
Pricing depends on session frequency (most clients do 2–3 sessions per week) and whether you're in semi-private or 1-to-1. Monday to Friday: 06:00–20:30. Saturday: 07:00–12:00. Closed Sundays. Sessions run on the hour and half-hour throughout the day — early-morning and post-work slots fill first.
